Jenna is from Alberta, Canada. She’s a wife, a mother to one boy, a serial entrepreneur, and a serious idea junkie! In her early years, her parents separated, and she moved all over the place from the west coast to the east coast and everything in-between within Canada. Her childhood was traumatic, and she was left to her own devices much of the time – to which she credits her many principal office trips! Though her home life and school life were tough, she found solitude in a few great teachers and managers that helped guide her to where she’s been able to get to today. Since entering the workforce, she worked in the healthcare industry, fitness industry, and eventually transitioned to working a regular 9-5 job within the Federal Government. In her free time, you could find somewhere, anywhere on a plane going on an adventure around the world or reading the best self-development books. By her mid-twenties, she quickly realized her desk job was not her future. The idea of having to ask for time off, track her vacation hours and just straight-up exchange time for money didn’t sit well with her. Knowing she was always a bit of a freer spirit and self-driven she opted to open her first business with a friend within the service industry. After several years of working within her cleaning company, successfully building her first business from the ground up, she realized that there were many gaps and avoidable hiccups that small business owners could easily avoid with the right tools. By November of 2019 Jenna and her business partner, Dwayne Johnson, were starting the creation of the wireframe which, we now call StaffNet. StaffNet was created by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs to manage their employee scheduling, project management, inventory and so much more in one place. She and her partner enjoy giving back to their entrepreneurial community by offering a free account to small businesses just getting started. They’re proud to say since launching in October of 2021 they’ve been able to help over 50 businesses manage and scale their businesses for the better!
