The “Little Women” star has recently opened up about her relationship while talking to the Sunday Times. Florence (25) said that she knows her relationship with Zach Braff (46) bothers people. She opened up about all the hate and backlash she received after sharing a photo with her beau on Instagram. Many followers cited the twenty-one years age gap between the couple. Braff and Pugh immediately got between the whirlpool of social media trolls.
“It is so weird to go on to someone’s social media page and s*** on it.”- Pugh said. It is so unlikely for her to bully someone just for the sake of doing it. The “Black Widow” star declared that she knows it “bugs” people to see her with bae Zach Braff. But she is not going to ruin her personal life only to put an end to the trolls and bullies. When it is about dating the director, Pugh knows how to give it back to the trolls. During her weekend interview with The Sunday Times, Florence said – “It bugs people that Zach is not who they expected me to be with.”
While addressing the hate she received on Instagram, Florence revealed- “About 70% of Instagram comments were being horrid, hurling abuse and bullying someone on my profile. I will not allow it on my page.” The comments have been disabled on every Instagram photo she (rarely) posts with Zach. She further made it clear – “I am 25. I don’t need you to tell me who I should and should not date. Really, my life has nothing to do with you.” – Florence posted an eight-minute-long video telling the Insta crowd to stop posting hateful comments about her relationship.
The pair started dating back in 2019 after they met on the set of “In The Time It Takes to Get There”, a short film by Braff. Since then the trolls have been targeting the age gap between them. In her press interview for ” Black Widow”, her upcoming movie, Pugh spoke about the hate she received after taking Braff’s 46th birthday out on her page.
“Oddly, we have become okay with social media during the past ten years.”– Florence observes. “People follow Instagram to see ‘nice’ things. I don’t mind if you don’t like me and my choices. Don’t follow me then.” – Pugh’s polite request went out to her followers.
